Hammy in Christchurch!

Hammy has been in New Zealand since 23 Aug! :) I followed my trusty sidekick Doggy here. It was late winter when we arrived. I froze the first night at our host's place, but now have acclimatised better. Now early Spring is shrugging off the trappings of Winter. Some days it does rain, but yesterday we had rather good weather. Today, I woke to a tsunami warning on North Island! Doggy and I are listening to Breeze (FM 94.5) for updates. Stay tuned! ;)

"Singularity of Purpose"

While reading an article about career advancement last week, Hammy saw the phrase "singularity of purpose". Stroking my furry cheeks, I contemplated upon this phrase.

I thought of the many times I was distracted in my hunting; indeed if one wishes to accomplish one's goal, one must pursue it with perseverance and tenacity. "Singularity of Purpose!" That is Hammy's catchphrase of the week. Heck, make that the catchphrase of the month. I will continue to pursue my dream of an endless supply of sunflower seeds!

Hammy did something naughty yesterday

After an invigorating session of yoga, Hammy was in state of zen and felt at peace with myself, only to be a trifle bit annoyed with the amazing habits of fellow Singaporeans taking the MRT. The logic is simple- "Let us out first so we can let you in!" Hammy was carrying a large and heavy gym bag, and came face-to-face with a young wispy woman who stood right smack in between the doors on my way out. Oops, did I hit you? It was unintentional; simply deliberate.

Hammy and Doggy go for a movie

Yesterday my faithful sidekick Doggy and I went to see Ice Age 3. It was a laugh-a-minute movie; I rocked so hard in my seat during a 'gas scene' Doggy poked me (I think to stop me from involuntarily jabbing his ribcage), but I could he was also very tickled. It was our first movie together, and very apt too, because we love fellow animal beings! ;)
